Lodge Facilities

Mikumi Adventure Lodge is situated on Mikumi National Wildlife corridor, with savannah vegetation. On the premises, you can walk with the wildlife including Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, Monkeys and Grey Duiker. Birdlife is abundant. Mikumi National Park is a nature lovers paradise.

The accommodation is enhanced by facilities which encourage our guests to unwind, relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings of one of Tanzania southern tourist destinations – Mikumi National Park.

Spend a day or two on the premises, or a week! We can keep you well entertained … enjoy the game and sunset deck and have drinks around an open fire.

The Restaurant

Our restaurant provides excellent traditional Tanzanian / European cuisine – our resident chefs cannot wait to spoil you!

  • Breakfast is served from 07h00 – 09h00.
  • Dinner is served from 19h00.
This place has great staff and the accommodation is good , the only and the most important issue one would face is the power supply which is not constant and goes off at early hours of the morning . If staying make sure you have a emergency light or a torch if waking up early for a Safari .The food choice is very limited , one has to make sure that the specifications of the order is made clear when ordering and the friendly staff are very accommodating with requests . Also advisable to carry some of your own packaged snacks .

We liked our stay at Mikumi Adventure Lodge during the recent Easter break. Our 3-year old son enjoyed the setting of the camp amidst woods. The safari was well-organised and we got see dozens of impala, wildebeast, giraffes, zebras, wild buffaloes not to mention Tembo- the elephants and Simba- the lions. The staff are very co-operative. The food, in particular if you like charcoal cooked chicken, is definitely a plus.

Loved the spacious rooms! The eerie sounds from the wilderness at night adds a thrill to the stay! Not to mention the beautiful bird songs in the morning! Wonderful!

Also, thumbs up to the customer service, especially the Maasai guides! Ask for Stereo and Petro! Make use of th fireplace for pre-bedtime stories with fellow travelers or Maasai guides, some of whom are conversant in English language.
